It is a free pedometer that allows users to count their steps in the background and provides an overview of their daily walked steps. With this app, users can also define custom walking modes and receive notifications if their daily step goal is in danger.
What sets Privacy Friendly Pedometer apart from other pedometer apps is its minimal amount of permissions. It only requires two permissions: to run at startup and to prevent the phone from sleeping. The app does not display any advertisements, which is a common annoyance in many free pedometer apps available on the Google Play Store.
In addition to step counting, Privacy Friendly Pedometer also calculates distance and calories burned while walking. Users can choose different walking modes with different step lengths to improve the accuracy of distance and calorie calculations. The app also features a special training mode where users can track their training sessions and add additional information such as their feelings or a description.
